NEXEDGE Technology provides greater communication security with digital encryption. Industry Canada has instituted a go ahead plan where today's bandwidth will no longer be licensed. All two-way users will be required to utilize radios that are capable of narrower channel bandwidth. This means new radios will need to be purchased. The NX series of radios work with today's analog bandwidth and are fully forward compatible with the new regulations.
