GSP 1620 - Duplex Modem

The Globalstar Duplex Modem or GSP-1620 Satellite Data Modem (SDM) delivers reliable digital data communications virtually anywhere in the world using CDMA technology and the Globalstar constellation of Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellites.

The Globalstar GSP-1620 SDM provides two-way business-to-business Internet communications with land or marine based equipment via Direct Dial-Up or Direct Internet access. The SDM can cost-effectively retrieve data from isolated power substations, or remote metering facilities such as oil and gas supply stations. Unmanned sensors connected to an SDM can monitor remote operations and initiate alert notifications. Designed for multiple applications, the GSP-1620 SDM offers a flexible solution for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), as well as providing a developer's kit for accelerated time to market.
